Fr. Riley Williams recently did a blog post for, Our Catholic Faith. Please read his post below as he talks about our "faith."

God loves you and me. This is the truth at the heart of the Catholic Christian faith. We believe because God has given us the gift of faith, and has revealed Himself to us. God wants us to know Him, and our response to this call is through a life of faith.
Faith is a relationship. As with any relationship, a key aspect of it is coming to know the other person. Through our own personal reception of God’s self-revelation, experienced both in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, we come to know not only the truth about God, but to know God as well- to understand Who He is.
From this comes our response to God. He is real; He makes Himself present in our lives: what will our response to this be? Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church to help us follow Him as His disciples. The Church has organized revelation, discerning which books of Scripture are divinely inspired, and also carries on the work of Christ through the sacraments, visible signs of invisible grace- the help that God gives us in following the way of life to which He calls us. The sacraments not only initiate us into the Christian life, but help us to remain faithful to Christ. They aid us in living out our vocations, and prepare us to enter eternal life.
From this, it can be seen that the Catholic faith is about living life well. Responding to God’s call doesn’t take away from who we are, but instead guides in being more fully human. This can be seen in the lives of the saints: those holy men and women who, for over 2,000 years, have fully dedicated themselves to Jesus Christ. As the story of our faith begins with the love that God offers us, it finds its culmination in the love that we in turn give, both back to God in adoration, and to others in service and compassion.
On November 1st of every year, we remember all of the saints of the Church, and our own call to live a life of holiness as well. Through responding to God’s revelation in faithfulness, we too have the hope of one day joining them in God’s presence in Heaven.
