To all who volunteer in ministry at St. John’s – the dedication you show throughout the year makes such a difference for our parish community! We are grateful to:
the Liturgy Committee, which is involved in planning the liturgical celebrations;
the Family Mass teams who plan the liturgies for the children, and the Coffee & Donut Teams, Parish Nurses and Children’s Choir who volunteer their time on the first Sunday of each month;
the catechists, aides, and volunteers that help make our Religious Education Program possible;
the Altar Servers, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers, Greeters, and Adult Choir who help during Masses each weekend;
parishioners who minister at nursing homes and to the homebound;
those who cut, surge & monogram the baptism robes and those parishioners who launder altar linens and server robes;
our SVdP Society who volunteer 12 months of the year to help those in need in our area;
the Women of Spirit and Men’s Group who assist with parish social functions, offering programs and donating generously to the parish and community;
our parish’s wonderful Consolation Committee who works with families who have lost loved ones;
the Parish Library staff who always keep a numerous amount of books and DVDs stocked;
all involved in the Relay for Life Team who are advocates for those who have passed from cancer, the survivors, and all affected;
to all the active ministries and persons in our parish – Respect Life, Finance, Evangelization and Vocations Committees, Baptismal Preparation and RCIA Teams, Youth Group, Maintenance Help, Media Assistance, Money Counters, Pastoral Council, Knights of Columbus, and Prayer Line – who work hard in making SJE the best it can be.
As a parish we are truly blessed, and we thank you for all that you do. If anyone was overlooked, my apologies and we truly thank you also. Enjoy your summer everyone! We look forward to the Fall knowing that you are there to continue building our community of faith.
